Wesley & Brittany Our First CHRISTmas was when we were dating in 2008. We spent the morning at the Mills then spent time with the Nelms, & it snowed for a few minutes! Followed by dinner in Kelseyville at the McQueen's. FUN FACT: Wes already bought the engagement necklace by December 2008, but did not give it to her until March 2009. First MARRIED CHRISTmas will again be with Brittany's parents in Lakeport. CHRISTmas eve with family, will be brunch at the McQueen's in Kelseyville. Brittany plans to put in some hours at Lake County Vector Control over the weekend, in preparation for a presentation she will be giving about, you guessed it, Mosquitoes & their transmission of Dog Heart Worm.

| Brother Adam's Light Obsession: For several years now, Wes's only sibling Adam & girlfriend Megan continually out-do themselves when it comes to decorating their [rental] house with CHRISTmas lights. This year Wes gave up a weekend [only second night away from his wife since marriage] to help Adam put up some cheer- including but not limited to climbing the tree & all roof lights. Some Photos are from the pre-Thanksgiving install & the finished house was photographed on December 5th at their annual CHRISTmas Party

2009 CHRISTmas Letter: We want to thank all of you, again, who helped with our wedding this past September. It was so amazing & beautiful; thank you, thank you, & thank you! Woodland, the city of trees, is where we currently reside. We live in a wonderful neighborhood on the “established” side of Woodland. We are currently renting ½ of a duplex that was built in the 1950’s. It has a garage, a charming little back yard & two bedrooms. We love it! Apartments in Woodland are actually more expensive to rent & have limited space & parking. GOD has so richly blessed us & we are so thankful that HE’s given us this wonderful space. Woodland Bible Church is our new church home. WBC is only a few blocks from our house & we usually walk there on Sundays. Wes was so thrilled when he discovered that WBC was graphically deprived. So far he has designed 1) a new church logo, 2) 1,000 new business cards for Pastor Verl, 3) postcards for a children’s CHRISTmas party, 4) new church pens, & 5) a poster for church announcements. Currently we are a part of the 20-something group at our church & also a marriage Bible study that we attend on Wednesday nights. It is an awesome church, on fire for the LORD, & we are so thankful that we can be a part of the body of CHRIST! Wes is currently doing graphic design work & has a couple weddings booked, but is still looking for a more permanent, full-time job. When not working for money, he stays busy working on the house. So far, he has turned the bathroom into a bamboo paradise, the kitchen has a coastal/antique theme with a very large coastal-picture-thing that I can’t describe, so you’ll have to go onto our website (www.wesleybrittany.com) to check it out. We also used Grandma Berta’s antique kitchen items, that she passed on to us (thanks Grandma!), to help make the kitchen look amazing. He’s also taken to helping in mosquito research by building a mosquito vacuum that really sucks!!! The vacuum is very efficient at collecting live mosquitoes, which Brittany can then take back to the lab & dissect…what a team! Brittany has finally gained admittance into the Entomology Graduate program at UC Davis, praise GOD! She starts classes January 4th & has a long & arduous road ahead, but GOD is faithful & by HIS grace will make it through. She will be doing research on overwintering Culex mosquitoes (the kind that can carry arboviruses) & dissects them to determine their resting state & also to see if they are carrying virus. She is very excited to be a part of UC Davis & the Center for Vectorborne Diseases, where she’ll not only learn about arthropods & the diseases they carry, but also about how to keep people safe from said diseases…saving the world one mosquito at a time! Please send live mosquito samples to: 33 Park Ave., Woodland! We are so thankful for all of you, our family & friends! If you are ever in the Woodland area please stop in & visit us.
